K321 oil pan modifcation

Recommended Posts

What modifications will need to be done to adapt this engine to a B/C series long frame? Do I need to buy a few spacers or do i need to acquire another small block oil pan? The id tag is worn off

but was from a Ford. I have a 77' B80 that I will transfer this to.

I could be wrong but that looks like the style that was used with the shaker mount. There's a thread on here about Kohler oil pans that might give you some ideas. I can't find it but maybe somebody can and give you the link. :)

I agree it is similar to the shaker mounting style but isnt the frame in the 78 and newer wider than the pre 78?

I had a long dipper and wanted the deep reservoir. It looks like you may be able to make that fit with spacers. Check for hood clearance.

Could use a shock mount cradle assembly.
