If it runs with starter fluid but dies in a few seconds, make sure that you have fuel pumping into the bowl. A carb cleaning may help. But if it doesn't, you may have a fuel pump problem. Also, be sure to use fresh fuel.

That is one nice horse you have there.  The 867 is the 1st short frame to have a transmission with the hi/low in it.  Yours has a #5060 which is a 10 pinion limited slip transmission.  It makes your horse a little on the rare side and collectable.  Treat her well and Welcome to Red Square.  :occasion-xmas:

:text-coolphotos:           You have a great :wh: there, should be an easy fix. Your best bet is to replace all of the fuel line and filter as well as rebuilding the carburetor. Also, do not use gas with ethanol! https://www.pure-gas.org/

This manual should be helpful.

No need to put a lead additive in the gas. The unleaded gas is fine just try real hard to stay away from ethanol. Ethanol does bad things to small engines.

Good luck with that one here in the hinterland....only station I know of is Bloomington - 28 miles away for you...I just use the ethanol gas and hope for the best...

Adding a little SeaFoam to your ethanol gas will help detour the effects of the ethanol.

      Hello friends
I'm still very new at this please bare with me. Have a model 867 , got it running and driving but not charging. Does this model need polarizing ? Its has a gen and an external voltage reg. Not sure if its a gm or ford type or does it even matter?
12v battery ,electric start, headlight. There has been alot of conflicting info on youtube, and i need solid info i can trust. Thanks in advance.
