budman2 57 #1 Posted April 22, 2018 Does anyone know what size kohler engines have the head that will fit the 14hp magnum? Mine has the spark plug threads stripped out! I am trying to put a picture up of the head!
953 nut 50,998 #2 Posted April 22, 2018 The head from any M-10, M-12, M-14, K-241, K-301 or K-321 will work, but I would suggest having a repair shop put a Helicoil in the plug hole.
RandyLittrell 3,797 #3 Posted April 23, 2018 If you don't feel like fixing it, just search for kohler k series head on ebay and there are a couple under $40. You can probably do it yourself though if ya have a few tools. Randy
classiccat 548 #4 Posted April 23, 2018 +1 on the helicoil... perfect time to do it since the head is off.
incabman 16 #5 Posted April 23, 2018 You can get a helicoil kit at Auto Zone or O'Reilly for $25 and have spares for the next time you need one. Comes with a threading tool and a few inserts. Easy DIY job.
