It is Randy, no rust at all on it so might mean it was never used to push snow. Wear bar isn't even broken in. Against my better judgement but this one will be going in classifieds. Be nice to have but will probably never use it.

none of gauges work,

Not as bad as you had been saying, but the hour meter stopped at the same time as other gauges! However, if the key were left on the hour meter could have run?  Important thing is it runs well.

:text-coolphotos:        Should clean up well.

I'd like to see that blade mounted on the 500. I didn't think that style angle adjust lever would work on the 3,4,500 series. :)

Nice tractor.Looks like everything wrong can be repaired. How the hell did the last owner wear those tires out? Did he run a 50 lap modified feature race on blacktop?Have fun with your new toy.

Front tires likely wore out due to bad alignment which may also be causing your steering issues.

Every tractor I have brought home has been badly out of alignment.

I know these are not high speed machines but alignment is still important.

When you turn the wheel then let it go while driving it should pretty much return to center on it's own.

I give around 1/8" to 1/4" toe in.

Hi Cleat...............Look for signs that it may have had an FEL on it at one time.

Most badly worn front tires I have seen on the 520's wore an FEL for awhile that added weight and caused the front tires to wear-out faster than usual.

Not to hijack the post but...........I'm not a fan of the Onans but those air cleaner covers are always bright and shiny. As a matter of fact, I've never seen one that didn't clean up! I've seen 520's that looked like they were bathed in a caustic solution all their lives but the chrome air cleaner covers would look new!

Just saying! :D

That one should clean up nice, looks like a 97. I'll look and see if I have the correct hoop for the pto. Tires probably out of alignement, I have also seen tires wear out with the use of a sweepster on the front.

I think this is the arm I have on my 312.  I had to install a spacer to move the lever to the right.IMG_0066.JPG.dd9873b6219acafca3aaea9221d7a10e.JPGIMG_0067.JPG.6f4030c9e5ba404839240402b5ee43d5.JPG

Another nice 520 for your stable Jim!  It has its warts and wiggles but for a 21 year old machine that has been in service--not too bad.  Those attachments are really in good shape especially that blade!  Great acquisition!:handgestures-thumbupright:

missing the extension kit for the 520 on the plow, that's why you have the regular handle, lots of potential

Yes correct Tom.....'97 No signs of an Fel ever being on it Boo. She looks like it was sitting next to a corn or flour grinder as it's covered in a fine white powder but should all clean off. Maybe was Scarface's tractor!  Not much for grease/grime inthe engine area but steering gear a mess. My thoughts exactly on the high hour meter Richard..... key maybe left on? Battery was dead/toast. Tops of tires are canted in almost like the spindles  are bent. Plans are to eventually pull the whole front end off for inspection. Pull the factory tires off my go to 520 and a good excuse to get some V-61s for her.

Will have to be do some more checking on the fittment of the plow as  know nothng about them but willing to learn. Numbers on the plow.

She don't look all that bad. With a little elbow grease & some minor repairs it should be a nice tractor. Take it easy on the elbow grease until that wing heals up though.:) Might want to keep the blade for wet heavy slop that blowers don't like so well.

Therin lies the problem Dan.....with the weather this nice want to get out the washer and then work on the 1077, then get a Suburban runnng, get the HY back on the plow tractor.. get the other tractors out of the magic shed...:( Nurse Cindy will be keeping an eye on me for sure! For those who don't know i recently had some shoulder work done so no wrenching for some time so will just have to sit with beverage in hand and look at them! Good thing seller was just a mile down the road and delivered and unloaded it all.  :D I thought of that too about the blade too but already have one for the ATV??

That’s gonna be a dandy Jim :woohoo:......how about a 2077 edition   ? I’m sure @Vinylguy and you could come up with something cool and that doesn’t involve manual labor  . Well maybe not for Terry.

Here you go Jim...with this little kit it'll fit and be able to angle without hitting the front tires, or since you can't stay outta the furrows it could/should end up looking like this with some tri-ribs or a set of OTRs front AGs in 16x7.50 to match those 23x10.50 rears I know you got, plus I have an extra weight hanger available, Jeff.

Excellent. That gives me hope but the PTO on mine may interfere. I'll just have to give it a try. :)

Unfortunately 90% of all the garden tractors and accessories were sold well east of the Mississippi it seems. We got 500 guys all looking for the same thing here. I sometimes think you guys back east all get a Horse with a new checking account! :laughing-rofl:

Only Pa banks offered a new horse with a checking account. The rest of the country offered a used pen with a chain on it. In Va. we only got part of the chain.

No gifts from my bank Jimmy.   My barber does give me a pen for Christmas.   Course he charges 12 bucks and it only takes him 3 minutes to trim the hair out of my eyes and ears.

Now that we are finding more uses for the 1990 520H with a KwikWay loader I am experiencing some power loss in the hydro after about a half hour to 45 minutes??????
      Ideas?

Selling my trusty WH520H.  ~880 hours (currently used for moving snow when needed so hours may rise) very solid machine, strong and hardworking.  20HP Onan, hydro transmission and hydraulic lift.  Has Matt's foot-pedal conversion for forward/reverse.  Included in the sale is a tall-chute snow blower and 60" mowing deck.  The blower is in excellent condition and is on the tractor currently.  The mowing deck has been a workhorse over the years.  No holes but could use some TLC, probably needs new spindles at some point and could use a couple spots touched up with welder also does NOT have any pulley covers/protectors (see photo).  Tractor has been an incredible tool, very solid and dependable and I'm certainly going to miss her when she's gone.

Recent maintenance: replaced the plugs this summer, fluids as needed (hydro has about 100 hours on fluid/filter; oil was done in the spring and has about 25 hours on it).  Battery is about 3 years old as are the tires, Terra Trac tires on the rear and turfs on the front.  The seat (with arm rests) isn't in great shape.  I've got a cover for the seat, never used.  It's never really bothered me but new seat cover is included in sale as are 4 hub caps, chains for the rear tires, and some misc spare parts (see photos).

I've owed this machine about 8 year and put ~350 hours on her.  She's not a show piece but could be restored.  Sheet metal is generally in shape, no rust however the hood does have a couple dings in it.

I'm only selling because I'm trying to help my son get a small lawn care business started and looking to move to a zero-turn.  The 60" deck is too large for our trailer, the mowing deck lacks pulley safety shields, and we'd like something that mows faster.  My only complaint with this machine is the top-speed (which isn't great when comparing to today's machines) otherwise she's a beast.  They don't make them like this anymore.
