I'm pretty sure the casting number for the transaxle breaks down to June 18 1959

:text-coolphotos:        we all know that the Ponds were vert thrifty. You wouldn't expect them to throw out perfectly good tags would you? Lots of folks say they have never seen an RJ-59 because they were all tagged as '58. Heck, lots of "63 models have 62 as the first numbers of their serial numbers.

@953 nut That's kinda what I was thinking is that they were using up the tags. But I wasn't exact on that. So in your mind would you say it's safe to say it a RJ59?

Heck yes, with a '59 casting number and high serial number I would say so.

I don't know anything about the tags, but it sure looks nice.

Any RJ is a nice find.

They were all tagged RJ-58. Your serial # and trans cast number pretty much confirm a 59. Plus the solid seat. A K91 is a natural for that tractor.

I was pretty sure in thinking it was a 59. But I always like to double check with others.
