Halogen Lights

Recommended Posts

Just came across a box of Halogen bulbs that would for my C125.  Are they usable or do they draw too much power?  I don't want to burn up my wiring harness.  Thanks.

Halogen lamps were used in the 300 and 400 series, can't see any problem using them.

Most of the bulbs that are marketed for sale in the United States are marked with voltage and amperage limitations.

In the past I have had bad experiences with halogen bulbs melting or deforming plastic lenses or housings. Personally, I would be more concerned that they will be too hot by temperature. Not too hot by Electric draw.

Just keep an eye for plastic deformation but you should be fine.

Maybe find an LED replacement? No worries about being to hot, and still get the bright light, with less voltage draw.

Has anyone found a LED replacement for these lights?  Sounds like it would be a edition.

I seem to think @squonk posted on finding LED bulbs that would work in his 520.
