Hello from Kent UK 512-D owner

Recommended Posts

Hi all I’ve just acquired my first Wheel horse and it’s a 1986 512-D with the Robins Diesel engine from what I can see it was a one year only model into Europe. Any info anyone can give me would be great .

Welcome to the forum.

We do not have a whole lot on this model but there are 6 files.

Type "512-d" with quotation marks in the search box. Use the down arrow beside the box to select Files.

:WRS:           I recall a post by a fellow from Australia a couple years back who had one like yours, not too common.

Welcome Scott, that big old lump of Robins Cast Iron should thump along forever in that .

If you need to replace the seat, just search online for Kab P2 Pan Seat, or if you want a cheaper 2nd hand one, search for  Atco Auto steer. Enjoy it !.

I will have a look as it’s not the greatest seat

I was actually looking for a far older machine but this one popped up and because of it being fairly rare I grabbed it . I’m still going to search for an older project though 👍

They’re good workers, I’m currently restoring an RJ-58, one of only a few I know of in the UK

For sale is my good condition tall chute snow thrower for the classic garden tractors(300,400,500)  Sold my last classic and only have an Xi so it's time for this to go.  Only trades I'm interested in would be for Xi attachments.

1974 8 with plow and brackets ... rebuilt motor clear coated over the Patina new seat ,runs great ...battery weak but a certain show winner

520-H with a 60" deck and 670ish hours. All working and running properly. The only issues with this tractor are that the seat is coming apart and the paint is slightly faded. It has new back tires and runs great. Local pickup in Columbus, IN

1984 c175 twin cyl, hydro, mow deck, snowblower, led lights, all tire chains, wheel weights, removable tool rack, resealed hydro control, new oils, spare parts. Runs great no smoke no sputter, starts everytime all winter long! 800firm

1959 suburban 400 potentially original round hood without punched hole from the later year models, has some missing metal from rust. Frame and tranny is good. Took apart to stop the rust and clean it up. Rebuilt tranny with new seals and bearings and moves great! Motor turns and parts all there. Tires seem to hold air and has great potential for lots of arguments as a true 1959. 300
