Can't get the 7" pulley or right hand hub any ideas I've tried pullers with heat put about as much pressure as I thought they could take without damaging. Any thoughts. 953 nut 51,521 #2 Posted March 22, 2018 If you clamp a piece of heavy steel to the item to be removed, ground an arc welder to the shaft it is on and burn a few rods at high amperage the current passing through the rust will cause it to heat (poor electrical conductivity). ebinmaine 62,961 #5 Posted March 23, 2018 I haven't had a hub be as adamantly resistant to relocation as that yet. I like @953 nut 's idea a lot and that would not ruin the pieces. There are some fantastic self made pullers on this site. The best I've seen focus on using five points of contact instead of 3. Face plate mount through lug bolts seem better than edge mount.
