What should the piston to cyl clearance be for .20 oversized?

.007 - .010" 

Just seems like a lot, the service manual i downloaded says that also. Just wantes be sure.

The aluminum piston will expand a lot more than the cylinder when the engine gets to operating temperatures. When that happens your clearance will be a lot less.

Be sure you measure at the specified location.  I too, think that it is a lot of clearance, but maybe measured at various locations you might find different readings.

Do not use the book to bore, the pistons today are NOT in spec at all.  Bore with about 0.0045 for the style D Mahle and about 5ish on the heavy side for the regular style A.
