Good Saturday morning to all....

I was on Rt 44 in Ashford CT this morning and passed this at 50 mph. Thought it was a Senior and turned around... its not although similar (at least thats my interpratation). Could this be an early Senior minus the hood option and somebody modified it to there liking?

Looks to me like an old power king tractor. Has a great patina. The early power

kings were alike to the seniors

I’d say see if it’s for sale the early power kings are hard to find and are worth a lot of  cash

I'll second that.

I looked at one via internet up here in Maine a couple years ago.

1963 If I remember right.

Very similar to that one.

Guy was asking $600... Not running.

I should have taken a closer look....

Very cool!

I particularly like the NOS Christmas lights...I think the Part No. was PKxmas-1963.1...

Green set is NOS. White set is a Wally World universal replacement!

That’s definitely a Power King Economy economy tractor. I had a 1960 Model that was manual lift, where is that one has hydraulic lift. That’s much nicer than the one I had.  Their cool for pulling things around, but they are really rudimentary it when it comes to hooking up attachments to them. That’s why I ditched mine and went to wheel Horse… Simply the fact that they’re so crude made working with them around any place that wasn’t a farm more of a chore than any fun at all.

I only have one tractor in my collection of 16 tractors that is NOT a Wheel Horse. That is an Economy Jim Dandy. It's like the baby brother to the power king. I bought it in 1985 from the second owner. Its been stored inside its whole life and I honestly have to say it probably doesn't have more than a couple of hundred hours on it. I put it to bed properly twenty years ago and will bring her back to life as soon as I am done with my Work Horse GT-1800 restoration.
