I am wondering how many are Bass anglers vs Catfish

This is not a fair vote...I happen to like both.  As far as bass...smallies, large mouth, strippers, yellow base, white bass are all fantastic...usually throw large mouth back anymore, and smallies also.  catch and release you know.

   Cat fish is another story.  We get a lot of channel cats up here, and they are excellent.  Steaked and deep fried with a cornmeal dredge...filayed and lightly dredged in flour and cooked in butter with a little oil...heaven.    Smoked Catfish is to die for BTW.

Bass for me too. Mostly largemouth because there's plenty of close by lakes but when ever I can get out to smallmouth fishing, that's more fun as even the smaller fish can put up a good fight. There's no where close by for big cats. As a youngster we used to cat fish in the Delaware river using chicken liver.

Well, that's a hard one to decide. I like to eat Catfish but I like to catch Bass. On second Thought I like to catch Catfish also.

If you've never had a plate of southern fried catfish, cheese grits, and a couple of cathead biscuits, then you have missed one of the great joys in life. I like mine with a couple of dashes of hot sauce on the fish and the grits. There is a certain higher edumucation establishment in Tuscaloosa that service them with a couple of eggs on the side, I guess that would make it the breakfast of CHAMPIONS .
