Chester 0 #1 Posted February 3, 2018 (edited) Can I replace my Tecumseh h55d with a hh60 engine? Do I have to change anything to make work? Thanks Chester Edited February 3, 2018 by Chester SPELLING
pfrederi 17,129 #2 Posted February 3, 2018 (edited) Welcome What model tractor are you doing this on?? Does the HH60 have a 1" crank shaft on the PTO end? If so it should be an easy swap. may have to twiddle with carb throttle and Choke linkages. Edited February 3, 2018 by pfrederi

Chester 0 #4 Posted February 3, 2018 It is a 1960/61 Suburban Wheel Horse Model H55D 2113. The hh60 is a 1" crank. That is great news. thanks Chester
pfrederi 17,129 #5 Posted February 3, 2018 The Suburban is older than my machines...Does it have a 1" shaft?? The only reason Brought up the 1" is that many end users specd 3/4" shafts WH was one of the few that used 1" on their 600 series and Lawn rangers (which I am more familiar with)
Chester 0 #6 Posted February 3, 2018 Don't have the answer in front of me but will find out. At least that can be remedied with a shaft spacer or pulley if the h55 is 3/4". I though both were probably in the same "engine frame" group and so glad to hear you confirm it as they are hard to find anymore and my hh60 is like new.
