I found this on a forum for restoring vintage paintball guns.  The paint costs about $200 for 20 ft of coverage.  The results look amazing.  Check out the gas tank being painted:

Any chance @GlenPettit could reproduce the original hood ornament in plastic and use this paint as a trial run (I could use a couple) see how it holds up . :confusion-shrug: Maybe he could take a poll to see how much interest there’d be .

Nice how it clears up.

 

I find this new water transfer chrome technology even more interesting, and it comes as a DIY kit also :-)
