Thanks!

I will try it on the chain.

Speaking of, the chain I bought came with a standard master link and also a cotter pin link.  Initially when I opened the shipping box I thought the cotter link was just for shipping.  But upon installing the chain, and with the idler in the full slack position, the only way to get the chain on was including this cotter link.  Is this correct or am I doing something wrong? The Seller (on Ebay) has a pic of this link installed too so I guess its correct.  But I am wondering how sturdy this link is.  Anyone have experience with it?

@Lane Ranger I have a complete setup just like that I was using in the rat project. Came out of an ‘81 C-175. Would you want it if Rodney could bring it to you? I just want to keep the hubs. You can have the rest.

The link with the cotter pin is known as a half link and perfectly normal.

You should remove the U-clip on the full link and turn it around so the rounded end faces the direction of rotation.

If a piece of ice was to hit the clip the way it is it could force it off. Turn it around and the round end can't be forced off.

I am good Richie  -so far!  If disaster strikes after install and fluid fill I will let you know! Rodney can do for me for sure!

Filling the B-100 hydro transmission today with 10w -30 rosella oil.  Put the rear hitches and new cable onto!  Hope to run this evening!

Got the custom 702 out today and took it for a cruise down the road to a friends house. Got some crazy looks cruising down the road while listening to some tunes.

@ebinmaine it is a Brockway hood ornament.

I'm in the process of getting everything g around to make my 14hp B-80 and that one will get the mack dog. Then when I build a nice little hot rod horse that will be the candidate for the angry duck

I thought it might have been.

From the days when Mack and Brockway merged.

Love it !!!

I have a Kenworth swan to go on my B80.

The shifter knob is a bull dog head.

That particular one came off a old Brockway dump truck. But that time frame of trucks is awesome. One of my most favorite trucks is a single stack Mack Super liner with the 500 mack motor and a 13 speed transmission. Drove a bright yellow one for several years and that was just a beast of a machine.

well I should be working on a WH but my wife volunteered to help make tamales for a church fund raiser (which means I also got volunteered). She has the pork cooked and masa seasoned to make 12 dozen. We made 6 dozen this morning and will make the rest this evening.

I told here spreading the corn masa on the shucks was like putting body filler on tractor parts. I didn’t get any volunteer help offered for that. 😜

Job well done by a Horse today.

Cut down one out-of -place pine tree, pruned others, and stripped out this viney plant matter because its just too much maintenance for me

B 100 is back in business!   Transmission works great and  tractor going to get it's mower back on soon!

Changing that drive belt on these automatics however is certainly not as easy as a manual transmission Wheel Horse.   Everything has to be jus so so as the belt cover goes on !
