Rustyred 58 #1 Posted January 13, 2018 Hello again, I am in the process of putting a PTO from my c81 tractor back together. I am just pressing in the two bearings. I am wondering what to lubricate the needle bearing with when it's put back together. Do I use oil or grease? I guess it's simply standard maintenance to pull the PTO apart and lubricate the bearing once in a while as there is no hole for oil or zerk for grease... Your help is appreciated. Desko 552 #2 Posted January 13, 2018 The pto bell for the blower and deck? I use high temp red grease in mine. Don't over pack it because if you get it on the clutch disk it wont hold and the pto will get vacuum stuck to the shaft with too much grease. 3 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Ed Kennell 35,610 #6 Posted January 14, 2018 This is my go to bearing grease. I have had good protection in boat trailer wheel bearings that are constantly being submerged in salt water .
