The PO said it has a broken key in the trans, so it don't go at this point, but I did have it running. A little scary, the impellers run with the engine. No way to stop them but to stop engine. I got it with the thought it would make a cool snowblower for the tractor. After I stared at it for a while, I realized the engine is reversed from what it sets on a WH. So I would have to reverse the PTO direction somehow

Anyway I did get a nice 6 3/4 horse Kohler on it

Well, until I got into Wheel Horse, this is how I cleared my 1/4 mile driveway and the circle between the house, the barn, and my Horse shed.IMG_20140622_115810_732.jpg.e09209c87d65e69972219968c03bb2ac.jpgP1050771.JPG.e49c21c2b460cab4c88c7d1e59b53abd.JPG

I must say it's a lot easier with the :wh: equipment

:scared-eek: “1/4 mile”

Just think of the shape that you were in!  Too bad you didn’t have a “Fitbit” to keep track of your steps:laughing-rofl::ychain:

Not unique, not special...

But my dad's 1969 Chevrolet K20 4x4 with a 292 straight six, 4.88 gears, granny gear 4 speed with a Fisher 8' blade, belt driven hydraulics and manual (seperate) push pull cables for up/down/angle could not be stopped.

Maybe not unique. ... but Definitely special  !!

That is one of my favorite truck styles and has one of the best engines ever built. I've always been partial to those larger straight sixes. .... 292, Ford 300. GMC Commercial 302, etc....

Can't wait for pics.

Posted this interesting and different rig a long time ago. Too bad the info posted about it was lost from the forum move a long time ago.

@wallfish that is a crazy beast! With a country absolutely obsessed with protecting us from ourselves, something like that snowblower would give that type of people hives!!! I would love to see a video of that thing in action.  You almost get the feeling like you could walk that thing to the middle of your drive, turn it on, and it would suck in and blow all your snow from the whole drive and maybe even your lot!

Doc, my first truck was a 1968 Chevrolet K-20 4x4 with a 327, 4:88's It seriously didn't like to go over 50 mph but would move mountains of snow. I also towed many a stuck trucks off the beach with it. Here is a picture of a picture of me with it around 1986
