Easiest way to get belt on

Recommended Posts

Whats the easiest way to get the belt on my snow thrower?  the  pulley next to the blower itself. Their has to be an easier way the removing the pulley itself. Got  the c165 and a single stage blower. having a hard time finding a belt as well. model number on blower is not very readable.  forgive me for not having a lot of info.

If I remember there are 3   7/16 nuts and bolts holding the bearing close to the pulley> took 2 of the easy

ones out and loosened the third. That gave me enough wiggle room to get the belt on. I think that work for me.

:text-yeahthat:   Or, I changed to a 1/2" smaller pulley so the belt would clear the housing.    The auger will run a little higher than design, but I run my 520 at  at 3200 instead of 3600 so the auger is actually spinning at design speed.

Agree, take the bolts out which hold the bearing, that's the easiest way.

The WH belt is # 9750 but don't know the length or cross reference to other belts

Drive belt 9750 (5L x 69" or 5/8" x 69")
