854 snowblower

Recommended Posts

JERSEYHAWG / Glenn

I figure I might as well keep my eyes peeled for a snowblower for my 854. Something I can get and rebuild next summer. Who has a picture I know there hard to find, might as well start looking now.  For one that will fit and the model number of it to  please.  Thanks.

Thanks Craig, are all my pictures stored in the "Magic Shed".  I lost a few thousand last month when my 25 year old HP Pavilion died  and I transferred everything to this ASUS.

Do I need a user ID and Password to enter the Shed?

If the hard drive is still readable, you can pull the pictures off it

Thanks Brian.   My local Techy Guy did pull the drive out, put it in his system and transferred all the data, but there must have been some damage as some photos got lost.

No big deal though.....now that I know Craig has them in his "Magic Shed" remote picture storage system.

Here are the 3 snowthrowers listed in the Attachment Interchange for the 854

Click on the fuzzy pictures

Notice the ST-32" width and 4, 5 and 6 representing the model years 1964, 1965 and 1966. The ST-326 model number was changed to 6-2211 in 1968

Glenn:

I was fortunate to pick up a complete NOS never used ST-324 for my 854 2 years ago. I have not used it yet, as I am adding the updates from the later versions first. I changed the jackshaft bearings to the floating style and added a second chain idler and longer chain to provide a better "wrap" on the auger sprocket. Almost done, anxious to try it out.

If you remember where you originally posted them on :rs:...

chances are, when you go back there, you'll find...your picts are still there Ed. :handgestures-thumbsup:

:angry-nono: Currently, no room left in my shed. :text-imsorry:

Last I knew, there was still an original, round hood style snow blower...

offered for sale in our :rs:classifieds.

You should know though...

don't let the size of these things fool you.

They weigh a ton, takes two men and a boy to move 'em around.

They take up a lot of space to store 'em, once they're on the tractor.

Typically, once you get one, you can't give 'em away.

I've had two 'em, complete, working units...highest I paid for one was $75...

dragged 'em both to the big show, where I ended up giving one, and trading the other away...

no interest there in someone purchasing one.  :confusion-shrug:
