Plastic wheel weights

Recommended Posts

I am behind the curve... I happened upon two bolt-on plastic wheel weights this summer. What do I feel them with?

Water? Sand? Stuff that can't freeze?

I will them attach chains and the blade to my 1979 C141.

What do you suggest?

Sand would work the best in my opinion.

I would fill them up with a mix of the heaviest stuff you can find, and some cement product. If you have connection to a metal shop you might get small stamped out steel bits etc. That ways crazy good. Use the cement mix to make it a stable mass.

Second choice would be just sand and cement mix.

Might want to try a tire shop and get used wheel weights. E-bay prices about $1 per pound.

I have a set of weights one is factory and weighs 40 lbs, the other is just cement an is 25 lbs. I recollect.
