Can you post a picture of the whole tractor. Is it a vertical shaft engine?

Do you have any idea what it is?

It is not a garden tractor, but a lawn tractor. Pressed metal frame. Still trying to figure this out.

I am going to guess that it is a 1971 CG7.

According to the model list it is a 73 8 horse 4 speed with a Tecky vertical. They even have it listed as a lawn & garden tractor. Kinda misleading. :)

Hmmm. does it have any value?it was my grandfathers friends. It has been in a shed since 2000 when the starter went. I’m going to get it in my possession in the next week or so. I’m very confused over this one. I can’t even find pictures of one of these. Not that looks like the one i am getting soon. Thanks a lot everyone. keep digging

Take a look at my edited post above.

The value? Not too much in the collectors world, but what is very unusual is that I've read that is has left-handed blades.

It has pull knobs for choke and throttle.  I thought '73s had levers.    The pic in the 1973 brochure has a Kohler.
