54” wear bar for snow blade Warn

C52_DDAF6_032_F_4126_B185_6_BA9_E279_A29Hi all... I just wanted to pass along some information. I needed to replace my wear bar on my 54” snow blade. Warn makes a high density plastic wear bar for their plows which are 54” as well. I ordere on one and attached it. I had to drill new holes in the plastic wear bar to mount it. Much easier to drill through the plastic than the steel. I’m interested to see how long this wear bar lasts.

I have a 1/2"  x 4" vinyl wear bar on my 48" plow and using it all of last winter on a 450' asphalt driveway there was no perceptible wear and also no scratching of the driveway. Before i mounted the vinyl edge I planed a chamfer on it with my carpenters wood plane so it would have an edge at the proper angle.  I have found it to be much better than a steel edge.
