What kind of oil do you all run the rear of hydro? And how much will it hold? On a 1976 61-16kso03 sn 23867

The appropriate 2 pages of the lube chart have been added to this page. Click on the fuzzy picture. After it opens you will see 6 small pictures. Click on the two on the right and they will enlarge.

10w30 engine oil is what is required , can't remember the capacity but it's only a few quarts total . I generally just buy the 5 quart jugs of Mobil One 10w30 synthetic . Make sure the trans has the correct hydraulic filter on it , not a regular car engine oil filter as they aren't the correct specification for a hydraulic system .

It is possible that you have automatic transmission oil in there...if it is red, use auto...if it is tanish, use 10w30.  Use the one that is in there...do not change to the other kind.  :)

A NAPA 1410 filter is proper for a hydro.
