C195 wiring issue

Recommended Posts

We have a C195 that for the last 10 years has occasionally died.  When it does this it just quits like you shut the key off.  If you hit the hood it will take right back off.  I suspect the wiring at the key switch but I have tried wiggling wired and I can't duplicate the issue.  Any body else have this problem?  We also have a c100 that just started doing something similar.

The contacts inside the ignition switch have a little bit of spring pressure in them. When they begin to go bad they can test good with a meter but not while in use, replace it with a new one.
