I think that's thinking outside the box. I can see all kinds of use's for that and it could be used on any tractor. I would love to know how you did it. Maybe a tutorial on how it's made and the lifts you used for it. I would love to have one.

Great job.

Daddy Don

More information on how it is built or what you would  charge to build one . Great looking set up

Hey Dan ... I think you been holding out on us here:ychain: Sometimes  we get a comment or three about how a LR is not a real tractor. I guess your showing  them. An LR is on my bucket list.... might be a little farther down than a C-160, 701 or a 318-8 but is on the list! I like the repower and seems it serves you well. .... have fun with it!:handgestures-thumbupright:

It took some time to figure the best design then a few months off and on to build it. I thought it would be cool since I had never seen a FEL on a LR.

Once they harvest the corn I plan to shake it down more in an empty field. One unknown is if the charging system is enough to keep the battery charged since its all electric.

Plan B on that is to replace one of the concrete weights on the back with a second battery. The 4 way joy stick works great. I used the tool box under the seat for all of the electrical. I tested it yesterday and stressed it some and everything held together just fine.

I also have a 42" snowplow that goes on it. I plan to break it down this winter and repaint the tractor red and the FEL black.

The entire FEL install used all existing frame holes and didnt require any alterations to the tractor......I.E. it can be removed with 6 bolts and returned to the stock tractor.

I like to experiment on stuff like this.......keeps me out of the bar.

That’s pretty slick!! It’s funny, back years ago when I had a small collection, I had 2 rangers, one like urs and a round fender, I wanted to put a small loader on it. I was told that it could be done but would be best to get a bigger tractor to do it to, that it wasn’t heavy enough tractor. But it’s been done, and now done again.....

:text-bravo: Probably need all the weight you can get out back to ease the steering while loaded.         :text-coolphotos:

Me too!  People don't always understand why we can't leave things the way they are.

Just a thought here Dan, put a amp meter on it and compare what it tells you to the charging specs of the motor.?? 2nd battery is an excellent idea! :handgestures-thumbupright:

I have a new-to me 1990 520 with a KwikWay loader. Have been going thu piece by piece and checking for anything that needs attention. Found some wobble in the rear hubs (both sides) the key ways on both the axles and hubs shoe some pretty heavy wear.  Was wondering if you have used the hub repair kits that A-Z sells and any comments good or bad?
      Thanks

This is more a general question but has anyone used a quick attach system for a GT FEL? I was thinking of adding one to my loader to use start switching between my bucket and forks ( hopefully a blade soon). If you did how did you do it? Did you use the SSQA system? My biggest concern is adding a bunch of extra weight to a GT loader but I really hate swapping between the two. Pictures would be fantastic.

With a front end loader for these tractors how important is a ladder type subframe? Does the cross piece in the front have to connect where the towers are? Can the frame where the towers are just mount to the frame and go back to the transmission or is that cross piece critical where the towers mount? Could it be set further back with the same effect or would it not be the same? I know it is important to go back to the transmission so if you hit something you don't snap the frame, but how critical are the cross members?

Didn’t get to swap the loader out for the 44” 2-stage snowblower and cab on the 520-H before the Christmas Day storm. I had the engine out to redo the top end (decarbon, clean and reseat valves, New gaskets, New fuel pump, tubing, filter, plugs and properly seat camshaft Welch plug) so no time to switch over before storm. It’s just another excuse to use the loader! Merry Christmas everyone🌲🎅🏻

Westendorf has a FEL called the TA-52. It is rated for minimum 10 horsepower. I have not seen anybody using them on their horses, so I wandered if it was an option or not. I have a Charger 12 Auto and am open to any suggestions or better companies to get a FEL. I would try to get a Kwikway, but nobody within the state of Indiana seems to be selling one. Like I said before, all feedback is appreciated.
