Gt14 Double pulley i.d.

Recommended Posts

Trying to figure out what year this fits. It is the "double-d" style shaft. I have another gt14 pump/motor and it is the keyway style. I searched and found a thread id'ing different pulleys but the pictures were gone due to the 3rd party picture thing. When I find out if my transmission conversion is a success, I will probably sell it. Just want to know what it fits so I can answer questions about it.

I can't find the part number for that either, BUT I believe it is GT 14 specific, to power the tiller only.

The drive type may have changed during the 5 year production run for GT 14s.

It has screw mounting points for a fan blade to cool the hydro.

That is the 'Double-D' style Two-belt pulley used to run the rototiller on GT-14 Sundstrand Hydrogear Units 90-2062 or may a model 90- 2046...very similar.

Larger dia pulley is for the tiller....small end goes onto the hydro pump.

Here are the 2 tillers and both show a separate small drive pulley for the tiller and the required distance between the pulleys

In this 1971 parts list that cover all the models the GT-14 is identified by 1GT and the double pulley is 100434 in Group 14. See a 100... in the first picture of the sample above.

In 1970 there were 3 different model numbers for the tractor.

Model 1-7451 has it's own parts list. Shows the 8144 single pulley.

Model 1-7452 and 1-7453 share a manual.

On page 4 (Steering and wheels) they show a single pulley #8144 for model 1-7452 and a double pulley #100244 for model 1-7453.

On page 2 items 50 and 92 they show two different hydro units.

The most important thing to remember about the GT 14, its exclusive tiller, and the special double pulley to power the tiller that really hasn't been critically and importantly pointed out yet that I have noted, is the one

mechanical option that was absolutely necessary for everything to work.

The GT 14 had to be equipped with the 3 point hitch option.

End of story.

So what is the part number of the double pulley you have??

Surely you can find the number on the part and take a good pic of same.

You don't need third party pics for that.

Slow down for a couple of minutes and find out.

The GT 14 specific double pulley is valuable.

Steve, if I slow down any more, I'll be in neutral. :laughing-rolling:

Ok so I took another look at it and just did manage to get the number off it. Very hard to find where they put it. It is 100434

And after going back and looking at my first picture, half the number is staring me in the face :laughing-rolling::laughing-rolling: the lighting was all wrong when I tried to find it. I guess the camera enhanced it. Thanks to all of you.
