Options For 16x5.50-8 Tires?

Recommended Posts

Horse Play

My 857 is in need of new tires and I cannot find anything in16x5.50-8.  Does the 5.50 mean the width of the tire or the wheel?  What are other widths of tires can I run on my original wheels that are not too narrow or too wide?

Thanks for any help!

16 = approximate height

5.50 = approximate width

-8 = wheel size

Tires are not very consistent in their actual size.

Two different brands can be quite different in relation to one another.

Usually up or down a size is no problem

Hopefully another 857 owner can chime in with usable tire sizes for you.

I would suggest going with 16-6.50-8's. Common size and they will work well with your wheels. :)

Mounted numerous 6.50's, excellent fit on the 8" wheels.

Fast delivery, good price, from Miller Tire. :handgestures-thumbupright:

Thanks, guys.  Bummer there are no sawtooth treads in the 6.50 width; looks like 4.80 is the widest and that's probably too narrow for my wheels.
