ACman 7,505 #2 Posted October 12, 2017 (edited) On this side of the pond we use mostly lawn and garden batteries (group U1)but I believe the battery tray holds a group #22NF battery . Here’s one source of batteries for Europe . https://www.yuasa.co.uk/batteries/leisure-marine-garden-view-all.html Edited October 12, 2017 by ACman
rmaynard 14,864 #3 Posted October 12, 2017 I use a U1 battery in all of my Wheel Horses U1R has the negative terminal on the right as shown below. U1L is just the opposite.
pfrederi 17,125 #4 Posted October 13, 2017 (edited) The U1 battery will be loose in the battery box..(if it is original) and will need to be shimmed., The 22NF will fit snugly. Edited October 13, 2017 by pfrederi
carlosking450 149 #5 Posted October 17, 2017 sorry for not answering before, what power or amps should be?
rmaynard 14,864 #6 Posted October 17, 2017 The batteries that I use are usually 300 CCA (cold cranking amps). You don't need that much for a 702, but having more than enough power is better than not having enough.

squonk 38,844 #8 Posted October 18, 2017 Remember, The more power a battery has, the tighter the plates are packed and in most cases can shorten a battery's life. But even a 300A Battery at half the cranking amps will start a 702 as long as the voltage is 12.5 or higher.
