L-157 should be 1967 electric start  two spoke wheel and a smooth belt guard (no indentation for the decal).

Not that it couldn't have been replaced, but if memory serves, that hood decal was only used in 1969 (last year before the vertical shaft/fiberglass Lawn Ranger).

The hood decal is not what you have there.

It appears he has picked up a real Frankenstein.  Going to send him the 67 set but include the 68 hood decals so he can use what he wants. Thanks for the help.

It does have electric start and he can't find an definition switch for it.

The 4987 switch has been replaced by 101482 and still available from Toro. It is a heavy duty switch because there is no starter solenoid making it rather expensive.
