Two bearings WH # 6593  Converts t0 1615-2RS  There should be a spacer between the two bearings inside the pulley WH6595  Shaft looks to be in bad shape.

Yup shaft looks whupped. If you can't find another one, I bet @buckrancher could make you a new one.

I just got done redoing the one on my 36" deck. What you guys are looking at is what is left of the roller bearings and a spacer. Easy cheap fix. The bearings didn't even cost  $5

I just blew that pick up. You may be right as long as the races come off the shaft. I don't see any bluing so they may have not gotten too hot.

We just got the races off shaft and the spacer is still usable. What is a good way to get the races out of the pulley without harming the pulley? They are soaking now.

Also who sells the bearings I need?

if you have a large vise or a hydraulic press you can find a deep socket slightly smaller than the bearing's OD and use it to press them out and a larger socket on the other end to press them into. Given the outside diameter, inside diameter and width any good industrial supply house or auto parts store can hook you up.

That sounds kind of funny to me, I don't remember the bearings being so tight that they had to be driven out. Are they rusted in place, maybe?

Could be, or they may have slightly fused themselves due to friction heat.

the bearings are out but the outside of them or races are still in the pulley. I am not where I can get an image right now.

Only image I have at home. Is this a stop for the new bearings or is it part of the old bearing?

I am definitely ignorant when it comes to bearings. thanks for the help

You can use a large socket, bigger than the o.d. of the race to support the pulley. Then use a thin punch to catch the race edge and drive it out from the inside.

If you're sure it's the outer track of the bearing you're looking at, if you have a welder, lay down a few runs of weld, not an awful lot, on the bearing race. What will happen is, the metal will expand, then after cooling, will be slightly smaller than it was originally.

The bearing should then drift out much easier with less chance of damage to the housing.

The new to me pulley and bearings arrived and I picked up a new belt at car quest. Installed them yesterday and greased up the deck. Mowed a small patch of grass to make sure everything worked as it should.

I am ready for spring. Thanks again for the help!!
