seven 202 #1 Posted September 29, 2017 I want to put a recoil on it but I'm missing the part that goes between the flywheel and the recoil where can I get one or what is it called? Right now all it has is a rope you have to wrap around every time.thxs seven
dells68 7,494 #2 Posted September 29, 2017 I always called it a recoil cup. I watched eBay and found one a few years ago - NOS! I think I saw a complete recoil set with cup recently on there and maybe a cup by itself if that's all you need.
Terry M-(Moderator) 2,125 #3 Posted September 29, 2017 Yes, recoil cup is what I call it too....Does your k-90 have mounting holes on the shroud for a recoil? My old rope pull k-90 didn't..Just curious.

dells68 7,494 #5 Posted September 29, 2017 Just checked eBay. There's a NOS recoil for $75 and a cup for $21. If I remember right, I gave about $75 for both 4 years ago. Not too bad for NOS I don't think. K91 stuff is high anyway.
ACman 7,505 #6 Posted September 29, 2017 You can use a short cup for Tecumseh . There cheap , plentiful as are the recoils and they bolt right on . http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tecumseh-HS60-6-HP-Go-Kart-Mini-Bike-Tiller-STARTER-CUP-Ships-FREE/272551479350?_trksid=p2047675.c100009.m1982&_trkparms=aid%3D888007%26algo%3DDISC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D44730%26meid%3D17ef0743a05e4a0fbda3dbcff27c3912%26pid%3D100009%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D2%26sd%3D292156186094
AMC RULES 36,945 #7 Posted September 29, 2017 What recoil are you planning to use on this engine. Kohler, Fairbanks Morse, Tecumseh, or Schnacke? Might be a good idea to post up a pict here... to be sure you source the right cup that works with it.
