KC9KAS 4,741 #1 Posted August 20, 2017 (edited) I bought a 312-Hydro from a friend of mine last week. Yes, I know about the pictures, but I don't have any right now! The tractor was bought new in 1994 by his brother and has been in the family 23 years. The tractor model number is: 5112KE02 The M12S engine has a model number of: 471527 All numbers are clear and easy to read. My information says 5112KE02 is a 1992 and the engine should be 471521 The models with the 471521 are on 8 speeds, and the 471527 are on automatics, but mine seems to be wrong. I did see in 1990 the 312-H had a M12S-471527 on it. I know it was not uncommon for Wheel Horse to use left-over parts for tractors so I guess anything is possible, and I have found that my info sheet sometimes differs with other folks. I've searched 812 and the only thing that pops up is a typo from @stevasaurus referring about a 312-8 .
