I have replaced a couple of mine with electric pumps, cost less than $ 20.00 and work great. For a faithful restoration I would stick with an OEM Kohler pump, but for a worker or play time :wh: electric is the way to go.

I hook mine to the acc terminal.  Turn the ignition to run for a few seconds you will here the pump and it changes sound after the float valve closes.  The turn to start and off you go.

I just ordered a couple of those electric pumps too. If my 2005 sits a few days I have to crank it some to get fuel back to the carb. It was never a problem living in Florida but I think it might be this winter now that we are back in Indiana. I'll connect it to the 'run' terminal. :)

Coon tail looks great @ACman. I need to get another one for my rat rod, mine fell a part.😞 Might try to get a big whip antenna to mount the new one on.😀

complete rebuld kit

Depends on what you mean by complete, If you mean with a float and adjustment needles, you would be better off to buy one of the aftermarket replacement units from eprdistribution  on :techie-ebay: for about $ 35.00. Several of use have them and I am pleased with mine. Be sure the choke linkage is the same as yours.
