520 Kwik Way Loader Help

Recommended Posts

DTOM

I picked up a Kwik Way Loader to put on my 520-8 speed. I'm still trying to get the front mount and the two Brace arms from the seller, but i'm starting to feel it might not happen. So can any of you Kwik way owners help me with the correct measurements for the "Front Mount" and the 2 "Brace Arms" that i need to complete this implement PLEASE...  Thank you.

Shouldn't be too hard to fabricate or have made.

It just snaps into the front tach a matic & the braces are just tubes flattened on the ends with holes drilled in them to bolt in between the two.

I'll see if I can dig mine out for some pictures.

Not to hard at all. The manual shows the parts to be built with stock pieces, cut to shape and welded. I'm looking to make a exact reproduction of the originals.

My cell number is (860)930-3354 if you would like to verbal the measurements. Thank you.

OK, here is a materials list:

2 Side Support Tubes: 1.35" OD, .10 wall thickness, 34" overall length.

Ends are flattened at 45 degree angle with 2-3/8" on the short side.

Holes are 5/8" from the ends.

2 Side Plates: 1/4" x 5" x 5-1/2"

Part is bent 45 degrees at 2-1/4"

2 Inner Side Plates: 1/4" x 2" x 5-1/2"

1 Main Cross Piece: 1/4" x 2" x 2" x 16" angle iron

Cut to fit Side Plate angles.

2 Hitch Side Plates: 1/4" x 2" x 3"

2 Hitch Side Plate Supports: 1/4" x 1-1/2" x 1-7/16"

   Welded to above.

1 Hitch Pin: 5/8" diameter x 7-1/4" long

1 Hitch Pin Support: 1/4" x 3/4" x 5"

Welded to Hitch Pin, note location on photo.

That should give you a start.  I'm sure there will be some questions.

Here are a few pics from a fellow member JackC. I have complete build pics as well. I will try to find them.

Thank you for the pictures and measurements. What is the measurement between the two inner and outer plates? Where the brace arms bolts in. I'm guessing 1/2".
