What do these timing marks mean: one small line with a long line beside it, and one line with an S beside it.

:WRS:       If you are referring to the marks on the flywheel of a Kohler engine they are used to properly set the points and timing of the engine.

Thank you for the information and the files on timing. I checked mine with a meter and the S was right on just like you said. Thanks again for the help.
