BMW1 42 #1 Posted July 7, 2017 Pictures below are of the D200 I recently purchased and is the one I mentioned in a previous post where I asked about the ID tag. What is the deal with the tires? Were these actually used or did someone just use them as replacements? Is there a benefit to using these instead of the normal tires that came on these. I have an 1973 18 automatic and those tires are bigger and look more like normal turf tires. Price was $500. Was that a fair price? 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
BMW1 42 #2 Posted July 7, 2017 Forgot to mention. It runs, drives, and does not smoke. Needs some adjustment to the motion control lever and the steering has a lot of play in it. It also came with a mower deck that does work. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Texas Todd 1,024 #3 Posted July 7, 2017 (edited) Which tires are you referring to, front or rear? 500 isnt bad at all. Which deck did it come with? Play in the wheel is normal. Sarge 3,462 #7 Posted July 7, 2017 Not a bad price , but too bad the 3pt hitch has been robbed off of it - that is common , though . Those ags aren't very aggressive at all and generally won't tear up the turf any . I'm going to do a detailed writeup about rebuilding the Ross steering boxes , as well as where to source the parts and some upgrades while it's being done as well . Keep a close eye on your engine to hydraulic pump coupler - they can be a real problem on the D's and can cripple the machine in short order leaving you stranded . DTOM 124 #8 Posted July 7, 2017 Those ags are the original and correct for your tractor along with the fronts. Your D tractor is a 1979 and the three point, pto, and disc brakes where options for that year. The hour meter and dash light are options also.
