gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,441 #15 Posted June 22, 2017 Here is the engine parts list. The 4074148 Kohler serial number was made in 1972. Once you determine the original Kohler carb part number you can search for an imported replacement to save some $'s. Original carb 4705315 replaced by 4785304 replaced by 4785330 replaced by 4785330S http://www.partstree.com/parts/kohler-engines/parts/47-853-30-s/ Kohler calls their complete carbs a kit. Wondering if you should maybe looking for a carb that was originally used on a Wheel Horse with a 14hp engine? Garry

ed lincoln 33 #18 Posted June 22, 2017 Go to" I save tractors.com" aftermarket carburetor and much cheaper. The carb for a 14 hp Kohler should have a number "30" in it when looking in the venturi behind the choke plate.
