Kohler M12S carburetor rebuild kit

I have a Kohler M12S, but the only rebuild kits I can find are for the M12. With those kits work, what is the difference in the motors?

I am assuming that the M-series engines, like the K-series, use the S to designate electric start. The carburetor kit for the M12 fits.
