i used to see this almost daily when i was a kid. neighbor had a jd 240. and would try to pull stumps out with it. it would tick neighbor off when dads little 502 wheel horse would pull his jd out of ruts lol. neighbor has wisened up past couple years hasnt got his newer jd stuck he now has a x724 and i wont pull it out lol

That's a X300 series lawn tractor and yes, just like any lawn and garden tractor, they can and will get stuck in ditches.  I had to pull my 520-H out the other day with my JD GX345.  It happens to all brands, all colors, even the 4WD SCUTs and CUTs.  Sometimes people tend to lose a bit of logic and think they can go anywhere because it's a "tractor".

Been there, done that. I just drug my gx345 out from behind the shed with the 418. Getting ready to part it out. Tired of messing with it. Besides, I need a p/s donor for a horse:thumbs:

Steve, I don't think you would want me to show any pictures of this on WFM, though they, not being brand jealous, won't say anything negative about it.  They like all brands, all colors.

Mine has a differential lock, though once you hang up the deck, it ain't going nowhere.  The deck will keep even the most hardiest of tractors stuck until they get a little boost.
