You can get it at any dealer, got mine from Peerless in New Fairfield, CT. They're still available in the depot.

I'm cleaning up the 416-H now in hopes to have the deck attached this afternoon.  Still not sure I'm ready to use it or not, but it'll sure look pretty!

Well, I still have to adjust it, but here it is:

I'm not so sure that this will see active duty just yet, it's just way too clean, would hate to get it dirty!

It does look good. Is it nice and quiet?

Unbelivably quiet! My old one, the spindles were in excellent shape, but I guess the years make them slightly chatty this new one is smooth as butter, but I still haven't turned it on while on the grass.

I've always wondered how much quieter a new one would be thanks for sharing. Does it have baffles on the under side? It's seems sum do sum don't.

At least since 1994 none of the 42" RD's have baffles, I suspect that this is because of the recycler attachment for the deck, which won't fit a deck with baffles.

Was the old one  rear discharge too? When I went from a side discharge to rear I was real pleased with the sound reduction and have no plans of going back.

Yes it is, it got a couple of very small rust through areas, so I sent it to the 312-8 to use.

Looks great! The Ms. loved the RD deck towed a Parker (or Jackson?) sweeper when she mowed 'd lawns. :handgestures-thumbupright:

PS. Lowes has nice stainless carriage bolts and lock nuts for the Horses foot rests. :ROTF:

Very nice patina!  I like to "patina" the control panel screws too! :handgestures-thumbupright:

The screw head diameters come in two sizes, standard and a bit larger diameter, I go with the larger.

Might as well get new nuts too. Don't forget Never_Seez! :ROTF:

Guess my senile Wheel Horse Addiction is overwhelming?

PS. Moved from NYC to PA property just so I could "play" with Wheel Horses. :woohoo:

PSS. Don't forget to change the decals. TORO doesn't seem well, er, fit well. :text-imsorry:

I have an older 800 that had a 36" RD deck that finally could not be repaired any longer.  The old deck had the lift attachment that only had one wide bar going from front to back. The front of the flat bar had a piece of round stock that would snap up and attached to tractor.  Will the "newer" lift attachments work on my old (72-73) 800? Thanks!

You have a couple of dogs. The first thing to do is quite obvious! :)
