Ball hitch for my 520

Recommended Posts

Buzz

I want to be able to tow my landscape trailer around the yard. What do you guys use to attach a ball to the rear of your 520s? I have a bar that slides in the sleeve hitch of my 856 but this is the setup my 520 has. The existing hitch is too low to the ground for what I need. Thanks.

Just was out to see @wheelhorseman1000 and he has a sweet looking hitch setup, that is very versatile all painted up  and ready to go. I think this will be a must have item. Another well built, custom product for our Wheel Horses. Great job Lowell you are the master fabricator.:bow-blue:

Check the Vendor Section. Tom has a decent hitch also.

Wow, great upgrade on a proven hitch design.

I am fortunate to have heavy duty hitches on two 520's and 2 lifting hitches that will also allow for the use of rear attachments on two others.

You have combined the best of both worlds. Really a necessity for those with only one Wheel Horse.

You really do come up with some great products.

I don't build them to sell, but I built a couple for my self.

SAM_0487.jpg

This mount to the axle housing and the top of the transmission.

SAM_0265.jpg

This one mounts like "The Hitch Guys" with one exception I can mount the clevis hitch with it .

The clevis hitch has been modified too.

I saw this one for sale on :techie-ebay: a while ago and saved the picture for future reference. It uses the hitch pin at the rear of the transaxle and bolts to the axle housing, Take a look, not too hard to make and gets the hitch ball up where you need it.

Just when I think I've seen every style of rear hitch I see a really nice improvement and then something radically different!

I'll be following for sure!

Is anyone selling one of these various style hitches at the big Show?

Real basic here. Ball with a 5/8" carriage bolt found in a box of stuff from a  :wh: purchase

Fits perfectly here.
