36" mower deck install. PLEASE HELP

Recommended Posts

Mattwiltz

I have no idea how to install this deck. I bought the tractor and it came with the plow on. I have to mow my grass asap and cannot figure out for the life of me how to install the deck. Can someone please guide me through this process??

Thank you

Need a few basics here first, what model of tractor have you got, and what deck if you could post some pics it would be real helpful to help identify what your dealing with.

My tractor is a 312-8. Here are a few pics of what I have. I also have the mule attachment and all belts needed. I'm just not sir how to and where to attach the deck to the mule drive and the PTO

Your deck is a 1990 model

Operator manual

Parts list

Download and print this page off and have it with you when installing the belt

Do the reverse of this:

Be sure to line up the fork in the rod which inserts into the mid tach-a-matic.

Got it all squared away and the tractor cuts great. Thanks all!

Matt:

Looks like a bit of Rustoleum Regal Red would help your deck. Always on the shelf at Home "Cheapo".

Nice setup, excellent Horse!   :handgestures-thumbupright:

Thank you! That's exactly the plan. I want to sand and repaint as much as I can. I want her to shine!
