Ed Kennell 35,767 #1 Posted April 12, 2017 I got out bid on this one today. It came with a NOS spare deck
elcamino/wheelhorse 9,044 #2 Posted April 12, 2017 I think the spare deck is usable as a dump item. It has seen a little wear and tear.

Red144runner 657 #4 Posted April 12, 2017 People pay big money for a tractor and never clean the deck. I'll never understand that

So when you buy em for resale, ya gotta get em for cheap. I bid this one up to $350 and left it go at $375.
T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,345 #9 Posted April 13, 2017 That was the vented deck option. They're quite popular, after a few years of use, they become vented. You will see them more readily available on MTD and AYP products, which become vented in just a few years. The decks from Wheel Horse, John Deere, Simplicity, Case, it takes a few more years for they become vented.
chip61 655 #10 Posted April 13, 2017 I have one of those vented decks LOL. I thought at first it was from rust, but when I cleaned it up I realized the gentleman I got it from had hit something and it went through the top of the deck!! It actually has very little rust.

Ed Kennell 35,767 #13 Posted April 14, 2017 (edited) I agree Don, I don't need a mower or a gear drive, so I would have resold it and I felt OK at $300, but I pushed it a little higher. Edited April 14, 2017 by Ed Kennell
WHX?? 46,754 #14 Posted April 14, 2017 Way to rock & sockem at the auctions Ed.. Fronts look to be 6 in so you didn't want it anyways? Duck tape would have fixed that deck for a mowing or three.... Did I mention I hate auctions?
