Have a hard time getting it up to full rpm it just seems like it wants to keep dying out got to really feather the throttle to get it up to full rpm. Once it's there then it ok tilled the garden fine but almost impossible to get it up to full throttle?

Start with a new spark plug (Champion H-10) and a new gas filter and air filter.

What kind of ignition system do you have??  Electros came with two different ones Breakerless and also a magneto version.  (Many Breakerless were replaced with a battery coil system so really you could have any one of the three.)

Spark plug gap varies.

Mag .025

Battery Breakerless .035

Well just put new plug in it so I wouldn't think that's the problem. It doesn't have a coil on it like my c160 . Somebody mentioned it could be a carb issue maybe like a float that is leaking fuel into it.? Or how hard is it to convert to a coil system.

Cleaning the fuel system and carb are important.

How did you gap the new plug? .025 or .035

If your plug wire comes out from under the shroud .025 First pic magneto

If it comes from a triangular coil .035  second pic  breakerless

If the breakerless is working why replace it.  They are sort of a go/no go thing (assuming plug is gapped and in good shape)
