Trial and error is the fun of the build.

Sure is!

Not sure how I missed this thread too.

Hose raceways welded in the tool box.

Made the patch for the fender and got it tacked in place. Still more metal pecking to do.

Jay, I can't tell exactly how long you need it but both of mine measure 20 1/2" from the edge of the steering block to the end of the shaft. They came off of a c-120 & 160

AND install it at the show.

Bring it along even though it won't be painted! You can always do the pretty stuff later on. LoL

I don't have a motor for it yet and the hydraulics won't be ready by then.

Im in same boat with nub GT22-8 build. Just too much left to do. It will have to wait until next year.

@19richie66 is also planning to bring his Project next year.

Sounds like 2018 will be a fine vintage! Lol

Guess we can all claim we are holding out for @stevasaurus

If my son happens to surprise me with a motor within the next 2 weeks (been waiting since the show last year) then maybe.

Well this project is on hold for a while. Have to get other things in order so my wife will not have to worry about yard work and such for a week or so. Results from carotid artery sonogram has me going to exploritory surgery next Friday. Did the pre op today.

Well first hope all with the Dr goes well. But second I must say I can't figure out how I missed out on this build until now. After checking out all the pics and reading all your updates. I must say that is one sweet ride your creating! Also that is some  impressive fabrication your doing.  So in short ill say great job thus far and can't wait to see the end result.

Yup. A heart issue will put the brakes on real fast. Hope you can still make the show. Bring your tractor along. John has volunteered to push it around for the parade and cruise! :)

Thanks for the prayers and best wishes. I am planning on being at the show. The exploratory Fri is to see how accurate the sonogram is. If surgery is required it is supposed to be the first part of July. If something changes that I can't go I will be having a tractor shipped and arranging for pick up of an 854 and steering shaft.

Other than bruises and a little swelling I have got back to normal and itching to get back on this project but have to get things. ready before the trip to  the show next week. I have been cooped up in a classroom for three days. But still got some things done. I found a 12hp motor to pick up at the big show. @wallfish had me thinking about taking it and installing parts but the grandchildren are coming and I will be picking up a tractor for another member.

I now have a 12hp motor. Just need to check it out and change the oil pan. @953 nut brought me one to the big.show.

KIMG0893.jpg.4f9009a17fdc2d02110e3a731ccb0dd4.jpg

Also will repaint before final installation. And picked up a belt guard to use as a pattern to make a custom fit guard.

Can't wait to see this done! If you think about it, it's a long frame round hood, which is really cool!
