Mthrtrkr 62 #1 Posted April 2, 2017 New battery new leads and starts right up. Reading 14+ volts when running but let it sit a day or two and it's dead. Any help?
953 nut 51,011 #2 Posted April 2, 2017 Clean and tighten all of your electrical connections. Not having seen it my first guess would be a build ip of corrosion at the voltage regulator draining the battery through a high resistance short at that point. rmaynard 14,804 #3 Posted April 2, 2017 Obviously there is something that is drawing current when the ignition is off. Remove the ground from the battery and let the fully charged battery sit a couple of days. Reconnect and see if it starts. Your C-100 has lights which should be the only accessory. Make sure they are off. A bad ignition switch could be keep something on like the coil. Check all electrical connections for loose or corroded connections.
