Dan693 510 #1 Posted April 2, 2017 Hey All, Putting the above engine on a '66 Lawn Ranger and wondered if anyone knows how to correctly wire the engine to the ignition switch? Heres where i'm at so far.....there are 2 wires coming from the engine (not counting spark plug)....a red wire that comes from the magnito and a green wire that goes to the points (looks black but is green in the engine), Shown is the plug from the engine, the coil setup, and the switch I have. My question is which terminals on the key switch do I attach the red and green wires from the engine? I hope to get it right so i don't burn up something. The engine doesn't have an external diode like my older Tec unless its missing????....I think the engine is around 1972. Thanks for any help! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
