Countryboy12v 10 #1 Posted March 24, 2017 Howdy gentlemen, I am the new owner of a c175. It came with snow blade, 48in deck and wheel weights. It needs all new belts and a few bearings on the deck. Only numbers I have found are on the engine and the deck. I have a picture of number on engine, deck has 3018 on a tag center rear of deck. I have searched for the serial number and cannot find it. I'm lookin for a manual or a good parts list to get her ready for mowing season. Any and all information is greatly appreciated. Keith
pfrederi 17,143 #2 Posted March 24, 2017 (edited) Welcome to Red Square. C-175 Autos are great machines. From your engine serial if I read it as 12176192 looks to be a 1982. Can you read anything on the silvery patch just to the left of the serial number. That would have the Spec number of the motor Edited March 24, 2017 by pfrederi
George Washington 67 #3 Posted March 24, 2017 She is beautiful! There is a section on this site dedicated to manuals for download or you can also find them on toro.com I believe - if that's your first horse you sure picked a good one!
Adams94 1,065 #4 Posted March 24, 2017 Serial # and model # should be between you legs under the dash if it is the same as a c195
pfrederi 17,143 #5 Posted March 24, 2017 Parts Manualhttp://www.wheelhorseforum.com/files/file/4570-tractor-1984-c-175-twin-auto-da-tipl-snpdf/ Operator Manual http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/files/file/601-tractor-1982-c-series-om-wiringpdf/ Based on the year I am guessing you have a a Series 1 Kohler KT17. One caution. They oiling system was not very robust. Make sure you keep the oil level up and avoid running on steep grades for extended periods.

Lee1977 6,214 #8 Posted March 24, 2017 You have a 48" deck. If the spindle shafts are 3/4" at the pulley the bearings are (6203 3/4 RR) OD 40 mm, ID 3/4", 1/2" wide. If the spindle shafts are 5/8" at the pulley the bearings are (6203) OD 40 mm, ID 17 mm, 1/2" wide. Either could be in the deck and the spindle housings are the same for both.
varosd 1,185 #9 Posted March 24, 2017 Welcome to RS!! nick looking rig, love having the hydro and hydro lift! do you have steep hills on your property? I believe the 17 hp Kohler Series I engine have only splash oil lubrication and should not be driven for extended periods on steep angles. later Kohler came out with a Series II 17 hp that fixed the issue. the Series I is still a great engine I have never owned one but do a search on this fantastic forum for more info. WHX?? 46,728 #17 Posted March 25, 2017 Easy Jimbo.. @jay bee...right click on the picture save it to desktop. Use what photo manager you have, rotate it, save it and then repost it. Phone pics are notorious for sideways pics.

Countryboy12v 10 #22 Posted April 21, 2017 (edited) Thank you for all the replys and information. I found the S/n plate under the dash. Now to get her back into mowing shape. I am still confused as to why there is 8 speed markings on her but it's a hydrostatic drive? Keith Edited April 21, 2017 by Countryboy12v

If these could only talk we would all know what previous owners changed over the years. In the past three and a half decades a few alterations may have been made, but it looks great and will serve you well.
