B115 manual gear stuck when running

Recommended Posts

amiga4001

I just tested my wheelhorse after recoating the bottom for which alot off parts  had to be removed.

It now has a new drivebelt and all is cleaned and greased.

Everything works ok except for the gearchange.

It is just stuck in the gear where you put it in before starting the engine.

If I use much force I am able to change gear.

Now if I shut down the engine it switches gear easily.

What can be wrong?

Clutch problem or some drivebelt issues?

The clutch works ok if I enable it with a running engine.

Suspect you may have a problem with the drive belt not fully releasing with the clutch pedal down.

We do not have any good manuals on the belt guides and how they are to be positioned. Look through these service bulletins for any info that may apply to your later model.

Nothing in this one but you will come across a reference to it in the above so here it is.

For others that can help the B-115 uses a Peerless 5-speed transmission.

I took the machine out for a drive.

This seems to help in changing gear, maybe it is the new belt being to short.

Gonna leave it like it is for now, thanks for reply,
