ANY ONE USE THESE TIRES ON A 520H

Recommended Posts

WVHillbilly520H

Duke, I have no experience with the Deestone brand others on here have stated not only narrower width but shorter height than what they are designated as, Those OTR LAWN TRAC R1 I mentioned above, are described as 10.85" section width and 22.8" tall like the Carlisle, I would assume that once mounted the tires should "balloon" a small amount, I went with the Nanco tires because before I bought the anniversary 520 new in 1998 I bought a pair new for my old CC 106, I kept them put them on my dad's CC 1200 and 19 years they are still not weather checked or dry rotted (but he never mowed with it only gardening, snow removal, and firewood gathering) so that may have something to do with it, also my F.I.L. has a Roper setting out his barn with bought new 12 year old Carlisle AGs that are dry rotted severely but was a mower only, and my used Nankangs were cracked before I ever mounted them but I run tubes with fluid so that wasn't an issue, so I did a little research with pics for everyone to scour over, hope this helps out, Jeff.

WHX??

Excellent info ther Billy, I just got a pair of Tru-Powers, 23-850-12, for a build and was rather disappointed by the width and perceived? beefyness. Probably should have went with 10.50 for the wider tread and "balloon" look & performance? I am putting these on a tractor just for some glamor shots but eventually to put them on my 1257 for plowing duty.   Pics to follow

Well just to nip this in the BUD I sent the Ebay Seller a message advising him in advance what I have found out and what I expect. I encluded a picture that WVHillbilly520H included and you can see his reply. Documentation is better than conversation in this case voicing my concerns well before I get the product gives Ebay documentation to go on. As you can see by the Auction they are covered by EBAY PROTECTION. If they are not 10.5" Wide back in the box they go and I will recieve my MOOLA BACK!   :handgestures-thumbupright:     (PERIOD......)    B)tires0.png.6b202db1c5709b2030da41714945345f.pngTIRES1.png.f1da62a070d8fbdda83f0111767b0e11.pngTIRES2.png.ca726d0782519d6e8e9a81aa7e8e7d76.pngtires3.png.87bf2f4ad84565b527289e05b5b6ccd2.png

I believe that was preferdi's pic but I'm sure I overloaded the senses with my pictures, and FYI the OTR brand tires are Kubota first choice installed tires from the factory on the their L&G machines, Jeff.

Yes it was my picture.  I went today and took shots of the side walls  Little hard to see (The tractors are hibernating) try enlarging them.  Both are 10.50 (deestone has wheel weight Carlisle no weight just my foot.

Another comparison shot clean tire is Deeston

I have Carlise 23x10.50x12 and Deestone's and Nanco. the Carlisle's are definitely the widest. I have a set of either Nanco's or Destone on 8.5 rims, they look like balloons. On the other hand the same tires on 7.5 rims only measure 23x9.5x12. They look good on the 416's and C series and work real good on them. I just remembered when I installed the Nanco or Deestone, I believe they are Nanco's I had to install tubes in the tires becuase they wouldn't blow out and seat on the rims, in fact when the tire store was mounting them they had to install a tube for free to get the tire to mount. A year later the other tire went flat and I had to pay to have the tube put in. the 73 16 AUTO withe the Nanco's on 8.5 rims is in it's winter storage inside the enclosed trailer and not sure if I can get a measure on them. My vote for a 520 or any 8.5 rim would be the Carlisle's :twocents-02cents:

Duke, for about the same green try a pair of these, or step up to the 24x12-12 Ags of the cheaper brands that's what I was originally going to do but ya know how things go, and those turf tires in your pics aren't the original Dicos what brand are they Carlisle? Turf Saver?  Jeff.
