grinchsr 593 #1 Posted March 19, 2017 I am new to the Onan world. Just picked up the 416 from Sparky last week and I am trying to find the carb base gasket. I found part number # 72-0850 but it is discontinued. Is there a different number I can use?
wallfish 15,907 #2 Posted March 19, 2017 Have no idea of the Onan part # but if you want to get going today, every auto parts store sells rolls of gasket material so you can cut your own. Very handy to have around. Then you can replace it with a factory gasket when you get one.
grinchsr 593 #3 Posted March 19, 2017 Thanks John I am in no rush with it. Still have to get intake gaskets and check the wiring issues Ray
stevasaurus 22,229 #4 Posted March 19, 2017 Back in the old days, we would take the carb, thermostat housing, etc to the auto parts store and have them match it up.
grinchsr 593 #5 Posted March 19, 2017 I must be old because I did that too. This base gasket seems thick. I don't think I could find the correct thickness of the material.

I don't think I could find the correct thickness of the material. The "thick" Onan carb to intake manifold gasket is Onan part # 154-0733. You can download the Onan parts manual right here: Edited March 20, 2017 by onanparts.com
